Beach life
A series of paintings depicting a largely imaginary fun-filled life at the beach anywhere. Many depict windsurfing and dogs both of which have been an important part of my life.

A fresh day
2009This work emphasizes the similar form of sails and waves and also how the light is altered as it reflects from the sea or we see things through the sails. The painting also expresses the fun and movement of windsurfing.
A day at the beach
2009The bright sails and waves interact. I have kept the colours as pure and simple as possible. The Tahitan onlooker should be recognizable to any artist or art lover :-)
A fresh day
2010An abstract depiction of bright windsurfing sails and the sea.
Circle of fun I
2009The circle joins the windsurfers and the dog in a day of fun while the light comes through the waves creating a surrealistic world in which to forget everything else.
Circle of fun II
2009The members of the family, dogs included enjoy a day at the beach. I have tried to keep the colours pure and light and allow the figures to appear to hang in space, each enjoying life in their own particular way, yet all together (the circle).
Circle of fun III
2009Again the circle joins the characters in a day of fun at the beach. I have used warm colours for the figures, including the dogs while the almost "cut-out" appearance of the characters is meant to suggest their own special place in the day´s activities. The exaggerated angle of the mother figure´s face hopefully increases the sense of fun and happiness.
